Unboxing and First-Time Setup

Everything you need to get VOLTRA I out of the box, charged, mounted, and ready to train.

What's in the box

Your VOLTRA I package includes:

  • VOLTRA I unit

  • 65W USB-C charger with 1m cable

  • Carabiner hook for attaching handles and accessories

  • Quick start guide

If you ordered a mount separately (Sliding Rack Mount, Adaptive Rack Mount, Strap Mount, or others), it arrives with its own hardware and instructions. VOLTRA I requires a mount for normal use — it cannot be used without one.

Charging before first use

Fully charge your VOLTRA I before your first session.

  1. Connect the USB-C cable to the port on the device.

  2. Plug into a power outlet.

  3. Check the LED indicator: amber = charging, green = fully charged.

Charge times:

  • ~2 hours with the included 65W charger

  • ~1 hour with a 100W charger (VOLTRA supports up to 140W)

VOLTRA I only charges when no training mode is active. Plug it in after your sessions rather than during a workout. The battery uses smart charging algorithms to extend its lifespan, so there's no need to manage charge cycles — just plug it in when you're done.

Powering on

  1. Short press the power button once.

  2. Long press the power button until you see the light slowly flashing green (amber or red depending on battery level) and the screen powers on.

  3. You'll hear an audible beep. Your VOLTRA I is now ready to use.

Mounting your VOLTRA I

Install your mount to your rack or anchor point (or lay down your Travel Platform) following the instructions included with the mount. Make sure it's securely attached before proceeding.

  1. Position VOLTRA I over the mount and align it. Mount it horizontally or vertically.

  2. The device will lock itself into place automatically — you'll hear a whirling sound confirmation.

Tip: Always make sure VOLTRA I is placed horizontally or vertically on the mount to avoid tilting.

To unmount:

  1. Press and hold both the power button above the screen and the button on the handle.

  2. The unlocking sound indicates successful unmounting. Twist the unit off the mount to fully remove.

For detailed setup instructions for each mount type, see the Accessories & Setup Guides.

Activating your VOLTRA I

There are two ways to activate: via Wi-Fi or via the Beyond+ iOS app.

Wi-Fi activation

VOLTRA I works fully standalone — no internet required to train. But connecting to Wi-Fi enables automatic firmware updates that add features and improve performance over time.

  1. Tap “Other activate methods” on the device screen.

  2. Connect to a Wi-Fi network: choose your network from the list and enter your password using the on-screen keyboard.

  3. Tap “Next,” read the instructions, then tap “Agree and Activate” to complete.

Beyond+ app activation

  1. Download and open the Beyond+ app on your iOS device.

  2. Connect to the VOLTRA I device by selecting its name displayed on the screen.

  3. Navigate back to the main page within the app.

  4. Click the “Activate VOLTRA” button, read and agree to the disclaimer and safety guidelines, then tap “Agree” to finalize the activation.

Once connected, you can use the Beyond+ app to adjust resistance remotely, view training data (reps, sets, power output, range of motion), create custom workouts, and export session data as CSV files.

Check for firmware updates

Before your first workout, update to the latest firmware for the best experience.

  1. Make sure the battery is above 20% and the device is connected to Wi-Fi.

  2. Navigate to Settings > General > Firmware Update.

  3. Tap Download and Install, then wait for the download to complete.
