Connecting the Beyond+ App

How to download, pair, and get the most out of the Beyond+ companion app for iOS.

What Beyond+ does

Beyond+ is the optional iOS companion app for VOLTRA I. It connects via Bluetooth and gives you:

  • Remote resistance control — adjust weight from your phone, useful when the device is mounted overhead or out of reach.

  • Training data — view reps, sets, power output, velocity, and range of motion for every session.

  • Custom workouts — build and save workout routines with specific exercises, resistance levels, and set/rep targets.

  • Custom Curves — create and upload custom resistance profiles that change how the cable feels through the range of motion.

  • Data export — export session data as CSV files for analysis, or sync with Apple Health.

  • Device management — customize the startup logo, check firmware, and manage device settings.

Setting up Beyond+

  1. Download Beyond+ from the App Store on your iOS device.

  2. Open the app and create an account or sign in.

  3. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and VOLTRA I is powered on.

  4. The app will scan for nearby VOLTRA I devices. Select yours by its name (displayed on the device screen, e.g., VTR-130202).

  5. Once connected, you'll see the device appear in the app's main dashboard.

Activating VOLTRA I via the app

If you haven't activated your VOLTRA I yet, you can do it through Beyond+:

  1. Connect to the device as described above.

  2. Navigate to the main page within the app.

  3. Tap the “Activate VOLTRA” button.

  4. Read and agree to the disclaimer and safety guidelines, then tap “Agree” to finalize.

Viewing training data

After each set, the app records key metrics automatically. You can review session history, compare performance over time, and export data as CSV for deeper analysis or sharing with a coach or physiotherapist.

Exporting data

To export session data or sync with Apple Health, navigate to the data section within the app. CSV exports include timestamps, resistance levels, rep counts, power output, and range of motion data.

Tips

  • You don't need the app to train. VOLTRA I works fully standalone.

  • Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters. Stay within range during sessions for real-time data.

  • If the app disconnects mid-session, your training data is still saved on the device and will sync when you reconnect.

  • The app is currently iOS only. Android support timing has not been confirmed.
