Advanced Mode: Quick Reference

Eccentric:

Applies additional resistance during the eccentric phase only. On the concentric phase, resistance returns to the base weight.

Setting: Max additional eccentric load is configurable up to unlimited under Advanced User Mode.

Chain & Inverse chain:

Chains — Resistance increases progressively as the cable extends, replicating the effect of adding chain weight through a lift. Load is lightest at the start and heaviest at the end of the range of motion — matching the body's stronger mechanical position at lockout. Best suited for push-dominant movements such as bench press, squat, and overhead press.

Setting: Max additional chains load is configurable up to unlimited under Advanced User Mode.

Inverse Chains — The reverse of Chains mode. Resistance is highest at the start of the movement and decreases as the cable extends — loading the weaker, lengthened position and easing off at the stronger end range. Well suited for pull-dominant movements where leverage is strongest when extended and weakest at full contraction.

Auto Load & Auto Unload

Auto Load — In Weight Training mode, long-press the resistance number to activate. Pull the cable to your desired starting position and hold steady for 3 seconds — resistance engages automatically when stable.

Auto Unload — In Weight Training mode, tap the Auto Unload icon. Turn on Auto Unload. Set either a Holding Time (seconds) or Target Reps to trigger the unload. The resistance will drop automatically when you reach the set holding time or rep target, so you can finish your set without worrying about returning the cable to the starting point.

Twin Mode

Pair two VOLTRA I units for bilateral exercises and combined resistance applications. Maximum combined output: 400 lbs.

Supported modes in Twin: Weight Training, Resistance Band, Damper, Isokinetic, Isometric.

Isometric in Twin Mode: Maximum measurable force increases to 800 lbs (3,558 N) across both units combined.

Quick Cable Adjustment:

From any active mode, pull the cable twice at normal speed to enter cable length adjustment.
