What is VOLTRA I?

Updated this week

How VOLTRA I Works (vs.a traditional cable machine)?

VOLTRA I uses a precision direct-drive motor to generate resistance electronically — no weight stack, no pulleys, no mechanical linkages. Resistance is software-defined, which means it can change the nature of force itself: the same unit can simulate a cable machine, apply eccentric overload, hold a fixed speed, or replicate a resistance band curve — all switchable in seconds from the onboard touchscreen.

Feature

VOLTRA I

Traditional Cable Machine

Initial Setup Time

Seconds - Unbox, connect, and mount. Switch between modes in seconds

Minutes - Adjusting cables, pins, attachments

Training Profiles

6 Pro training modalities - Eccentric, Isokinetic, Chains, Custom curves, and more

Basic - Linear resistance only

Space / Noise

Minimal footprint, maximum flexibility - zero floor space when not in use, mounts indoors and outdoors, near-silent

Bulky - Fixed, large floor footprint, weight stack clang

Data & Feedback

Comprehensive metrics - Real-time rep-level feedback and progress tracking with training reports via Beyond+

None - Manual tracking required

Cost Efficiency

High ROI - One system replaces multiple equipment pieces

Moderate - Single-purpose machines

What you need to use it (rack, mounts, attachments)?

VOLTRA I requires a mount to operate — one is not included with the unit.

For users with a power rack or squat stand, VOLTRA I mounts directly to the upright via the Beyond Power rack mount system, compatible with standard 2×2", 3×3", and 4×4" uprights. For setups without a rack, alternative mounts are available for attachment to walls, beams, posts, and other fixed structures.

Attachments Any standard cable attachment works via the included carabiner — handles, bars, ropes. Beyond Power also offers native attachments designed to protect the LCD screen from cable snap-back.

Does VOLTRA I require a subscription?

No. VOLTRA I is fully functional out of the box — all 7 training modes are accessible on-device with no subscription required.
