How to Use the Adaptive Bar Mount

Get VOLTRA I mounted to bars or tubes quickly with this mount.

Updated today

The Adaptive Bar Mount lets you mount VOLTRA I to a round bar or tube with a quick, tool-free clamp setup. It’s designed for flexible positioning when you want overhead angles, crossbar mounting, or an anchor point that isn’t tied to a rack upright.

Best for

  • Home gyms that want overhead or crossbar angles

  • Setups using pull-up bars, crossmembers, weight plate pegs, or round tubing

  • Anyone who wants fast repositioning without tools

Compatibility

Fits bars from 0.6 to 2 in (16 to 51 mm) in diameter. Only mount to a bar that’s solid and securely fixed. If the bar can rotate, flex, or shift under load, don’t use it.

Setup

1) Open the mount

  1. Locate the unlock knob and turn it counterclockwise.

  2. Once turned, the buckle will pop up.

  3. Open the mount along the buckle.

2) Mount it to the bar

  1. Place the mount onto the bar.

  2. Close the mount.

  3. Make sure the buckle’s pivot is fully seated into the groove, then press the buckle down to lock.

3) Tighten it

  1. Open the handle on the mount.

  2. Turn it clockwise to tighten until the mount sits flush and doesn’t move.

4) Mount VOLTRA I and do a quick test pull

Attach VOLTRA I to the dock and make sure it’s properly locked before pulling. Start light and pull smoothly to confirm the mount doesn’t rotate or slide. If anything moves, stop and tighten again before you go heavier.

Adjusting position between exercises

Unload first. Bring the resistance down and return the cable to start.

  1. Rotate the top handle counterclockwise to loosen the mount.

  2. Adjust the mount to the new position.

  3. Turn the top handle clockwise to tighten again.

  4. Do a light test pull before going heavier.

Removing the mount

Unload and remove VOLTRA I first, then:

  1. Open the handle on the black knob and turn it counterclockwise to loosen the mount.

  2. Turn the unlock knob to release the buckle (the buckle will pop up).

  3. Open the mount from the bar and take it off.

Safety checks

  • Before you go heavy:

  • The mount is fully tightened and locked, and it doesn’t rotate or slide

  • The buckle is locked and the pivot is seated correctly in the groove

  • The bar is stable and can’t shift under load

  • Your line of pull is clear and the cable isn’t rubbing on sharp edges

  • You’re not adjusting or removing the mount while the cable is loaded

Maintenance

  • Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

  • Check the buckle, groove, knobs, and clamp surfaces for dirt, wear, or damage. If tightening starts to feel gritty or inconsistent, clean it before your next session.
